Your routine
How to use
Simple steps, in the right order. Every head of hair is different: listen to your own curls and adjust what works for you.
-
Step 1: Wash gently
Work a walnut-sized amount of shampoo into your scalp on wet hair. Massage with your fingertips, then rinse well.
-
Step 2: Condition the lengths
After shampoo, smooth conditioner through the lengths and ends. Leave it in for 1 to 3 minutes, then rinse. Detangle with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb.
-
Step 3: Keep your hair soaking wet
Products work best on really wet hair. Rinse or mist it until it drips before you style.
-
Step 4: Curl cream
Smooth a small amount through your hair in sections, then scrunch upwards. Start small: you can always add more.
-
Step 5: Curl gel
Apply gel on top of the cream while your hair is still very wet. Scrunch until your curls feel coated and smooth.
-
Step 6: Finishing oil
Warm a few drops between your palms and smooth them over the ends for softness and shine.
-
Step 7: Let it dry
Air dry, or use a diffuser on a low heat setting. Try not to touch your curls while they dry.
-
Step 8: Release the cast
When your hair is completely dry, gently scrunch out the gel cast with your hands for soft, defined curls.
Common questions
How do I refresh my curls the next day?
Dampen your hair with water, add a tiny bit of cream if it needs it, scrunch and let it dry.
Which shampoo should I use?
[Answer follows once the shampoo is confirmed.]
My hair feels greasy.
Usually that means too much product or not enough water. Use a little less and make sure your hair is soaking wet.
My curls are frizzy.
Try more water, a little more product, or both. And try not to touch your hair while it dries.
My curls feel soft but not very defined.
Without a gel cast, curls are softer. If you want more hold, finish with a little more gel on very wet hair.
